A recently heartbroken, electronics-addicted woman is the reluctant maid-of-honor at her best friend’s off-the-grid wedding in the woods, where she's forced to confront her ex-girlfriend, all of her more successful college friends, and every horrible choice she’s made in her life so far. But facing her demons and sleeping on the hard ground teaches Jess that the strongest force of nature at this wedding...might be her.
Mandy Fabian has been committed to doing comedy from the female perspective since she began her career, and has always wanted to make a feminist rom-com where the lead ends up single and happy. Combine that with her fanaticism for
camping and love of the movie"The Big
Chill," and boom, "Jess Plus None" was
born. Before that, Mandy created the
"Young Hillary Diaries," Lifetime’s first
digital series, and co-created the
Amazon series"Dropping the Soap."
She was chosen for the Sony Television
Directing Program, named "Best New
Filmmaker of the Year" by New
Filmmakers LA, and chosen as one of
six directors to lead an all-female crew for the 2020 Women's Weekend Film Challenge.
Mandy currently lives in LA with her husband Patrick Fabian, their two daughters, Abbey and Delilah, and an impressive collection of reusable water bottles. "Jess Plus None" is her first feature film.
